Important information What you need to know to make the most of your solar lighting

To operate efficiently, your Lumihome solar lighting system requires that you follow these instructions:

First use :

  • Before use: recharge the product for 48 hours. To do this, check that the product is OFF, then leave it to charge for 2 days outdoors, in an open space.
  • First switch-on: to switch on your solar panel for the first time, press and hold the small white button near the presence sensor until the lamp lights up. You'll now be in MODE 1.
  • To change modes, simply press the same button to switch from MODE 1 to 2 and then to 3.
  • If you wish to switch off your solar system completely, repeat the same procedure as for the first switch-on.

Installation:

  • The floodlight's sensor should be installed in a place where it can capture the best sunlight, and the surface of its solar panel should be oriented in the optimum direction to absorb the maximum amount of sunlight.

Interview:

  • For optimum battery charging, be sure to clean the solar panel regularly with a slightly damp cloth. The accumulation of dust or leaves can degrade sensor performance.
  • Use only Li-ion 18650 2200m A 3.7V batteries
  • Observe the polarity indicated in the battery compartment.
  • If your batteries are damaged or show signs of leakage, they could cause personal injury.
  • Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Never immerse the product in water.

Autumn and winter operation:

  • In autumn and winter, when the days are shorter and the sun less present, the charging time required is longer. We also recommend using mode 3 (600 lumens with presence detection only): this will prevent the battery from discharging too quickly.
  • In winter, the cold deposits a thin layer of frost on the solar collector. This has an impact on recharging efficiency and reduces battery autonomy.
  • In overcast conditions (fog, rain), it's harder for batteries to recharge. We therefore recommend leaving the luminaire in the "OFF" position for at least 48 hours when the lighting is dimmed. to allow the battery to recharge completely. It's also important to know that in winter, autonomy is reduced.
